That is generally considered too young, yes.

Should I quit making a tulpa?

personally, and i'm not a moderator, i would tentatively have to advise not making one. We obviously can't stop you, but we have no way to gauge your maturity level. You could really mess with your head by making one

I remember reading somewhere that it would be not great for both of you, to go through that age of your life with a tulpa. It might have said wait until 20? I don't quite remember.

Im willing to bet it will make some parts of life harder.

I'm not sure what negative consequence in particular would actually come of it, but from what I've heard they generally recommend waiting until your mind is more or less fully developed before you start a tulpa's development

that said, I know people who've made tulpas as early as 13 and turned out completely fine (as did their tulpas)

Well age is not an issue, but maturity is. However the only decent measure of maturity is age.

@Bethel🌸 If you're not old enough to handle your own legal and life affairs, you aren't old enough to create and maintain a new person.

Why?

The level of responsibility involved with developing a sentient entity on your own is far greater than that experienced through common life obligations. Without any experience in the real world, with all of its difficulties and consequences, one cannot hope to make a strong and well-rounded consciousness.

The only "responsibility" involved in making a tulpa is being able to talk with them daily and attend to their reasonable wants and desires. Tulpas grow alongside you, they'll become more "well-rounded" and "strong" alongside you if you think such things are important to personal development. Not that a tulpa requires the elements of "adulting" in order for them to be talked to daily and have their wants and desires attended to, unless their desires are directly related to their age like legally being able to vote.

So, you akin them more to a twin, then as a child?
